module 1 - Yin Yang

In-Person Training (100hr), The Yoga Barn-Bali

Deepen your physical practice, release years of stored-up tension, find your vulnerability, add another layer to your understanding of yogic sciences, and explore the divine masculine and feminine energies within each and every one of us.

Join us for a specialized 100 Hour yin/yang yoga teacher training at the world famous Yoga Barn. During this 11 day intensive we will dive deep into the practice of yin yoga, myofascial release, and myofascial elasticity. This training will count as 100 hours towards the Yoga Alliance advanced 300 hour certification.

A Yin-Yang is a symbol for balance between two opposite energies. Sun/Moon, Masculine/Feminine, Fire/Water, Strength/Surrender. Every human being has both yin and yang energies within themselves that they can learn to harness and transmute to others. The key to unlocking these energies can be found in the exploration of fascia. Fascia is the network that brings all of this together, it is the gateway to the energetic body.

This training will explore the foundational poses of yin yoga, as popularized by Paul Grilley and Sara Powers. We will also combine these teachings with elements of the 5 major fascial lines as discovered by Tom Myers in his groundbreaking book “Anatomy Trains”. We will learn to structure and sequence a yin yoga class, as it relates to the major fascial lines. There will also be instruction on basic techniques for myofascial release with ball therapy and foam rolling. As a student, you can expect to release years of tension and stress (who doesn’t need that after 2020), and also have a structure to be able to teach it to others.

The Yang portion of the training focuses on myofascial elasticity. This is a very exciting and new technique being developed within the movement community that adds a vital “missing link” to traditional vinyasa practices. Elastic movements are basically “pulses” designed to specifically target different parts of the body. This creates a tremendous amount of heat and strength in the body, while doing very simple movements.. It opens up the body and will create more mobility and youthful “bounce” to a practice. Think yoga meets martial arts and barre method. Incorporating elastic movement to a yoga practice is a game changer, whether your practice is beginners or advanced.

The training will also include exercises to help the student cultivate the divine masculine and feminine energies within each and every one of us. We will practice speaking with vulnerability and assertiveness to find each student’s authentic voice. This practice will help with relationships, leadership qualities, and confidence.

Upon completion of the 100 hours, you can expect to have a basic understanding of yin yoga, myofascial release, and elastic mobility exercises. You can also expect to have significant shifts in your asana and meditation practice, your public and private speaking, and your understanding of the myofascial lines and how they relate to the energetic body.

module 2 Sophisticated sequencing Vinyasa & Power Yoga mentorship

Take your teaching and practice to the next level as we navigate through all elements of teaching in the real world with this 50 hour sequencing immersion with mentorship.  

This specialized teacher training will make you immediately more confident, prepared and feeling ready to lead in-person and online yoga classes. You will be given a system for cueing poses, using a combination of simple movements and actions that will allow your students to feel strong and stable in their poses.

Finally, you’ll learn a customizable class template by heart, that allows you unlimited creativity for sequencing strong yet safe classes that will build your student base.

This 50 hour training will count towards earning a Yoga Alliance advanced 300hr certification with our accredited yoga school, or can be transferable towards another accredited school’s advanced certification course!

module 3 - modern instincts meditation teacher training

In-Person at the Yoga Barn (150hr) - August 1-17th, 2022

We’ll help you master awareness of subtlety, the 10 primary skills of meditation, ancient and modern techniques, plus the self-confidence and ability to articulate them easily. This is a transformational journey to learn new ways of being and discover tools to fast-track your personal growth. Saving you years of expensive trial and error. Because without tools or guidance, the process can feel overwhelming.
